The Humanitarian Crisis Hub is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to manage a range of projects and activities across our operations. This includes both internal activities (website, administration, policy etc) as well as projects initiated by community groups. As most of our work is implemented by volunteers, a significant component of this role will entail the support, recruitment and coordination of volunteers. It will also entail direct support to community groups.
The successful applicant will have excellent cross cultural communication skills, as well as:
· A tertiary qualification and at least 3 years work experience in community development, social sciences or similar. Applicants without a tertiary qualification would need at least 6 years work experience.
· Experience working with refugees and/or new and emerging communities.
· Knowledge of human rights, development, refugee issues, humanitarian protection or related fields.
· Experience in project planning, monitoring, evaluation, report writing.
· Ability to produce high-quality written work.
· High levels of computer literacy, particularly MS Office and Microsoft Excel.
· Demonstrated experience of supervision of volunteers
People with first-hand experience of war and conflict, particularly those with refugee backgrounds, are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary and hours: This is a part time, 0.6 EFT position, with a base salary of $28 494 pa ($47,491 pro rata) plus super. The initial contract is for 26 weeks, but there exists the possibility of extension, pending funding. Hours are flexible but will entail some evening and occasional weekend work.
