E-Campaigning for Human Rights

The Humanitarian Crisis Hub’s second workshop for 2010, ‘E-Campaigning for Human Rights’, was held on 22nd May.

The workshop explored how we can use online media such as websites, blogs, Twitter and Facebook to strengthen and extend our advocacy work. Participants had the opportunity to both learn from our expert facilitators and workshop the options available for their specific advocacy needs in small groups.

Participants came from Care for Congo, the Ogaden Youth Forum, Darfur Australia Network, Eritrean Australian Humanitarian Aid Inc, Numurkah Women’s Multicultural Friendship Group and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. There were plenty of opportunities to network and participants provided overwhelmingly enthusiastic feedback.

Anthony Kelly from the Change Agency facilitated the session alongside guest speakers Gautam Raju and Eyal Halamish from OurSay. See the photo gallery (left) for pics of the workshop.
