Since 2009 the Humanitarian Crisis Hub has:
- In cooperation with the Sudanese Lost Boys Association of Australia ensured that each and every member of the South Sudanese community in Australia was given the opportunity to register and vote in the South Sudan Referendum in 2011
- Been awarded the Sir Ron Wilson Human Rights Award for outstanding contribution to advancing human rights
- Held 18 workshops for community groups across Melbourne on topics ranging from grant writing to how to lobby the UN
- Commenced the five year Stories of Survival Program that gathers and shares the experiences of ordinary people in war and conflict
- Worked with more than 30 community groups to run evening seminars and tailored training in a variety of areas from planning projects to gaining media coverage
